Celebrating sights, sounds and feel of the Classic Car experience
THE CLASSIC CAR SEEN began with a desire to share our passion for Classic automobiles – it is an enthusiasts’ driven website celebrating the sights, sounds, and feel of the great American and European luxury automobiles of the pre WW-II era. We also celebrate some fine groundbreaking cars of the post-War era, but our interests always hearken back to a time when automobiles were hand-made and hand-built by fine craftsman.
Friends and industry experts join us to share their experience and knowledge of Classics and what makes these automobiles remarkable. Along the way we take notes and share it all with you.
My husband Martin and I are involved hobbyists and enthusiasts of prewar Classics. We have had the privilege of showing a car at Pebble Beach on four occasions and have personally supervised and participated in the restoration of a car awarded First in Class at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Through our experiences over the years we have come to know a wide range of friends and experts who enjoy sharing their automotive knowledge with us. We like to understand these cars within the context of their era – their authenticity, history, technology, and evolution.

THE FOUNDERS
MICHELLE A. H. COUSINEAU founded Classic Car Seen to showcase great prewar automobiles and their stories. Most of all, she enjoys interviewing the fascinating people who keep the Classic Car hobby in motion. Michelle is an automotive photographer and editor with interests in art, history, design, and the evolution of automotive form and technology. She has a particular interest in the authenticity of prewar cars and the judging process.
Her proudest Classic Car achievement to date is her work with husband Martin restoring their 1940 Packard Sport Sedan by Rollson (pictured above), which was awarded First in Class and the Classic Car Club of America Trophy at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Sourcing period-correct materials and studying period photos of the car to maintain authenticity were her favorite parts of the project.
Michelle is especially excited about the new quarterly Classic Car Seen magazine – the opportunity to design a beautiful and enduring publication for classic car enthusiasts to enjoy online and in print.
